Client: Gail and Chris Stevens

This casual neighborhood restaurant is the second location designed for this client after a fire destroyed the first location. The new, larger restaurant includes cherry booths with slate topped tables, copper topped bar with tiled backbar and a view to the activity in the kitchen. The patina of old wood floors and slightly battered plaster walls contrasts with the new finishes. Light fixtures and the owners antler collection was salvaged from the fire. The owners added vintage elements of oversized doors, salvaged globe fixtures and 40's table lights.

Suspended copper pipe serves as the dress racks adding another vintage note to the interior.

Client: Armando Ocampo

The Ocampo family has several restaurants in St. Paul and Minneapolis. Their newest provides a family dining venue in an area short of full service restaurants. The goal of the design was to combine contemporary finishes with a Latin flair for color and craftsmanship. The final design also incorporated wood trusses hidden by a previous renovation for added drama in the space.

Special features include a tile dance floor, pendant lighting, a curving bar with brick front, stone accent walls and a fireplace. A Mexican craftsman constructed an interior arched wall, separating the entrance from the main dining area.
